Carspotters' Challenge #85--Driving Miss Daisy

In keeping with our Limousine Week theme, this edition of the Challenge is a series of screenshots from Driving Miss Daisy, the 1989 film about the friendship that develops between an elderly Jewish widow (Jessica Tandy) and her African-American chauffer (Morgan Freeman) during the time of the Civil Rights Movement.

Miss Daisy 3There's no Oscar for automotive casting, but if there were, this film would certainly have been nominated for its impressive collection of period-correct wheels.

My favorite Cadillac of all time, and possibly the greatest American car ever built, made a brief appearance in "Driving Miss Daisy:"

I was living in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta when they were filming this movie, and walked into the commercial block unaware it had been converted into a 1940s neighborhood. Felt like I was in the Twilight Zone for a while...
