As always, this is the place for the conversation that doesn't belong anywhere else.

God dammit. Carlust ate my long and lengthy post, so here is my short, now ticked off version:

Rear calipers froze on my prelude due to lack of driving it. $180 later, I have new ones. Will install them this week.

FU carlust comment system!

I have learned to compose a lengthy comment (and one with 1 or more links) in Typepad before posting it here, then copy and paste the thing.

At least I can save it and hunt for things if necessary without losing 15 minutes or so of work.

Typepad has burned me on that on numerous occasions. Mostly because I'll hit backspace and it'll back up my browser. In some systems if I just move back forward the info is still there, in most though, it is lost. The other culprit for me is the touchpad on my laptop. I'll accident drag across it and the computer interprets that as some sort of command and I lose my work. Very frustrating. So indeed, on Car Lust posts I generally compose in an outside editor for that very reason.

I think it would be cool to have the word verifications on Car Lust be random car names that you type in rather than generic random numbers and letters. So you could have it be things like 1954 Ford Crestline Skyliner" (a very lustable car BTW) or 88 Mercury Cougar (not so lustable IMO). But it sure would be more fun.

We're going to get really good at wheel bearings over the next few weeks. The '96 Saab 900SE has its rear end in pieces right now, getting new brakes and wheel bearings. After that, the '95 Dodge minivan goes on the jacks for rear wheel bearings and front and back shocks. Then, after THAT, the '84 MB 190e goes into our garage for - yes, wheel bearings.

Dumb luck that all three cars need the same work all at the same time!

My dryer won't spin anymore. I think the fan broke... hope it is easy to repair the kenmore this weekend and find a fan.
Wait, does this qualify as conversation that does not belong anywhere else? ; )

How 'frozen' were they? I had a pair of stuck calipers on my last motorcycle that I managed to un-stick using an air compressor. I had to remove the caliper and stick a shop towel inside to keep the piston from getting damaged.
