Submitted for your consideration, this video taken at the L. A. Auto Show of a promotional song and dance routine for the upcoming Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid:
Words fail me.

Yes. Well...
Chris Mallow on January 05, 2010 at 01:10 PM
I don't use this common expression very often, because it's so trite...but sometimes, it REALLY fits.
WTF???
Anthony Cagle on January 05, 2010 at 02:56 PM
Well, if you turn off the song and get rid of the dopey guy, it's kinda hot. . . .
Zippy_Slug on January 05, 2010 at 03:33 PM
Long time lurker.. but I have to comment..
wow.. that was incredibly embarrassing..
Chris Meirose on January 05, 2010 at 03:43 PM
I think watching that killed a few brain cells. I feel stupider for it.

How do you spell Electricity? F-A-I-L
John B on January 06, 2010 at 11:14 AM
Has anyone figured out where the electricity for the plug-ins is going to come from?
Nukes?
Coal (preferably being burned is some other state)?
More dams?
Really..someone please tell me what the best option is?
And whatever it is...will the environmentalists let the power plants be built or expanded?

I'd like to say that the kids sure worked hard on the dance. That poor guy will need Rogaine by the time he's 17 LOL.

@John B - You kind of answered your question yourself. The cool thing about electricity is that you can make it in many different ways, including (yes) coal, of which we have a thousand-year supply, if the 16mm film I saw in fourth grade (about 1972) was to be believed. Shifting to electricity for our transportation needs is beneficial to national security and the economy.
I want the Ford Focus EV, as soon as I know when I can get one, where I can get it, and how much it will cost.

That was the dumbest thing that I have ever seen. I will never get that 2 and a half minutes back and that makes me sad. Do you think the starving artist who recorded that jingle will ever put it on their resume? I wouldn't if I were them.
David on January 27, 2010 at 08:02 AM
WTF? WHY? Can anyone tell me. I have to say it was a waste of time. I wounder how much money was spent on this.
