Happy Thanksgiving!

Vega_turkey_08_001

Cookie the Dog's Owner already perfectly summed up my Car Lust-related Thanksgiving emotions; so I'll complement that with this image from Car Lust commenter That Car Guy, commemorating his favorite automotive turkey--the Chevy Vega. Car Lust readers, I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

Hey great creativity art is that, that peacock look awesome. how did you create that......

Thank you! It's a paper fold-out turkey sitting on a 1:18 scale Vega with the wings at the bottom of the car's doors... I wish now I had set some plates out to make it look more like dinner LOL.

My first real car was a 1972 Vega identical to this one, except it was red. The car was less than a year old when I got it, so the troubles of the model had not come to light yet. But soon the exhaust smoked blue, the interior rattled, and the bottoms of the fenders rusted out. Then things started to really go bad.
