Angry Cars--2006-2008 Dodge Charger

Angrycharger_3

Car: 2006-2008 Dodge Charger

Condition: Angry

Description/Possible Motivation: The Charger's gaping maw and enraged eyes seem to be straining to obliterate critics who described a four-door Charger as heresy.

Defining Overblown High-Testosterone Action Movie Quote:
Supermarket Killer: Get back! I got a bomb here! I'll blow this whole place up!
Dodge Charger: Go ahead. I don't shop here.
(from the 1986 movie classic Cobra)

It looks like it's ready to go on a RAMPAGE! :-)

This is great, perfect photo of enraged car, perfect quote, I'm sending this to friends, thanks for a large laugh on a rather boring Friday morning.

The odd/scary thing is a lot of police departments are using these cars. I'm not sure that's the kind of image cops should have.... to me they should be serving the community, keeping it safe, and protecting us from criminals..... not driving around like badasses intimidating everyone with some testosterone fueled rage of being macho and violent.

PS: Real chargers have 2 doors! :P

Still, the Angry Charger has nothing on the ceLOLica!

I'd be angry too if someone put my name on a four door family flyer! When it was put on a k-car it still had only two doors!

Love that car, test drove an R/T and knew they were targeting the right people when on the highway the dealer said "see that new mustang gt up there? get up beside him and race him"

I couldn't believe how nice it rode at 120mph, smooth and steering was clean, if I had the money and desire for a huge 4-door (I hate anything with more than 2 doors) I'd have this car in my garage...

Police departments use these because they satisfy their requirements:
- Roomy and comfortable front seats to accomodate long hours on the job
- Enough room in the backseat to haul in some perps
- Lots of space in the trunk for police equipment
- Good acceleration, braking, and handling (but not top speed - you can't outrun a radio and a helicopter)
- It can take a beating, and repairs are relatively simple and cheap

A good friend of mine has a thing for cop cruisers. Over the years he's owned a Fox-body Mustang, Dodge Diplomat, Ford Interceptor, and right now he rides one of the last of the Chevy Caprices.

Smoke_Jaguar4 you missed one... Cop cars always need four doors so you can toss a handcuffed suspect in the back seat without difficulty. Mob cars on the other hand don't require four doors, but they do need a large trunk for bodies and the like... this is not really on topic, but it seemed a good time to bring it up as a point of comparison.

Yeah, I'm partial to the traditional way- muscle should only have 2 doors- but I think this model will sell well. I like it. A little attitude on the road lets 'em know you're coming!

This car has grown on me a lot. At first I dismissed it as "not a real Charger." But the more I saw them on the streets, the more their aggressive looks won me over. The thing practically snarls. I bet the cops who drive them love them.

It's too bad they can't make 4-door hardtops any more. That would be a great look for the Charger.

Because that's what we need: Aggressive cops.

I love the overall look of the Dodge Charger, but I hate the front end treatment of the car. It just doesn't go well with the car, or any car for that matter.
